Double Dactyls from the Golden Plates
Complainers
Jiggery-pokery,
Laman and Lemuel both
loved to lament every
day of their lives,
loudly complaining quite
intimidatingly,
save for when God told them:
“Go get some wives.”
True Love
Higgledy-piggledy,
old King Lamoni had
fainted and dropped to the
ground with a clunk.
“Surely he’s dead,” some said,
apologetically.
Lucky the Queen didn’t
think that he stunk.
Missionary Style
Jiggery-pokery,
young Corianton was
out on a mission with
Alma, his dad.
Fellowship strategy,
many agreed, was the
responsibility
handled so bad.
Alpha Male
Higgledy-piggledy,
Captain Moroni was
fighting for freedom, his
people were hurt.
There were dissenters who
just wouldn’t listen; he
proved he was boss when he
ripped off his shirt.
Hit or Miss
Higgledy-piggledy,
Samuel the Lamanite,
went to the Nephites in
Jesus’s name.
People rejected him,
apocalyptically.
Fortunately, they had
terrible aim.
